Director Lynn King is seeking to fill roles for our November 2022 workshop of Ian Doherty’s original musical. Auditioners should prepare 16-32 measures of a pop/rock song or musical theatre number. Please bring printed music for the piano player (accompanist will be provided).

Video Submissions will be accepted. If submitting a video, singing with a background track is preferred, but you may also sing a Cappella if a background track is not feasible. Character Descriptions

ROGER (Late 30’s-Early 50’s presenting)
An aging rock star-turned-record producer. Pragmatic, a little too willing to throw away his ideals–he’s essentially a good person, but he’s overcompensating for what he feels are his past mistakes. (Any ethnicity)

SID (20’s presenting)
A young singer/songwriter. Naive, sweet, hasn’t figured himself out yet. Emotional and intuitive, but willing to go along with things due to his lack of experience. (Any ethnicity)

GRACE (20’s presenting)
A painter. Complicated, but has a strong sense of self. In recovery/therapy, but she’s still hiding from the world somewhat. (Any ethnicity)

RHONDA (20’s presenting)
Grace’s girlfriend. Confident, supportive, and secure in herself, but not quite as self-reflective as Grace. (Any ethnicity)

ENSEMBLE – Approximately 10 people of all genders/any ethnicity to play Reporters, Journalists, TV Hosts, Concert Attendees, Band Mates, etc.

THERE ARE SEVERAL FEATURED SOLOISTS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR BACKUP VOCALS WITHIN THE ENSEMBLE, HOWEVER, SOLO SINGING IS NOT REQUIRED TO BE PART OF THE ENSEMBLE.

TRANSGENDER, NON-BINARY, GENDERQUEER, AND OTHERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.
